I am so comfortable with my boarding place these days. Another reason which is nice from here is that it’s strategic..rite at the town.
So tomorrow we have this thing called karaoke competition for teachers. I purposedly then searched sum karaoke vcds at mall. Well, not much choice of songs. I picked up one with mariah’s ‘vision of love’ (this is mariah’s first single a decade before she turned bitchy and it’s always been my pick at karaoke.. i love this all from all mariah’s ballad. dunno why), another one with madonna’s ‘dun cry for me argentina’ (i like it.the melody’s so musical and dramatic. i used to sing this a lot at my junior high), then one with elvis’ ‘love me tender’ and ‘ are u lonesome tonite’, last cassette with ‘quando3′ (but hell nah it sucks when i try at home..the karaoke version bcame sum kinda too rumba).
Bcuz i have a dry throat so i’d rather not pick ‘vision of love’ to hinder embarrasment, then second choice ‘dun cry for me argentina’..the karaoke version is too quicker..a bit more paced than the original..nah. ruin the dramatism. elvis is a bit too short. it’s like only a 2 minute stuff.. easy to sing ..but too safe. Actually I felt like singing song with beat..and pacy sorta gwen stefani’s or Britney’s? with oohh yeah yeahh yeahh yeahh..(oops i did it again LOL). But i affirmed myself that britney’s made-up pressurized throat voice won’t do me much. I have tough competitors tomorrow. Most teachers at JH dept. are very talented, either at singing and playing guitar altogether. One can sing Ebiet G. Ade’s very well and imitate traditional instrumental sound. Geez. whilst the british colleague was the birth of janis joplin’s and sum rock style. And another new teacher has power in her voice (in which i collaborated with her singing Beyonce’s Irreplaceable on the stage in yesterday’s last monthly performance).
Just now , the flashing idea emerged to search for a keys’ karaoke in utube, and after twice the attempt to download the karaoke ‘if i ain’t got u’, finally it’s done. I’ll do ‘If i ain’t got u’.
So wish me luck cuz tomorrow is show time.
